8-week Therapeutic Applications Workshop using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®

Creative, memorable celebrations for tamariki aged 5 + (for Selwyn, Christchurch, Ashburton, and Waimakariri families only).
Our Brick-themed birthday parties are packed with colour, creativity, and fun. Led by experienced facilitators—including LEGO® Masters NZ contestants—each party is tailored to the birthday child’s interests. With themed creative boxes, hands-on building, and optional custom minifigure design, these parties are a hit with kids and parents alike.

Party Package 1. Cost: $220*
1.5 hours of entertainment for up to 10 children. This comes with one experienced Event Leader, includes a small gift for the birthday child, and participation certificates plus an activity pack for all children!
Party Package 2. Cost $300*
This exciting package adds on 10x Design your Own Figures (children will choose pieces from a selection of 1000+ parts) to keep.

Thursday 9 April – Join us for a relaxed morning of brick play with over 100,000 LEGO®* brand bricks in the St Mary’s Church Hall.

1. Creative Bricks West Melton Community Day- Session One. 9 am – 10.30 am: A time of Complete Creativity immersed in 1000’s of bricks. Build a jungle, enjoy the DUPLO, decorate a boat, or build a castle. Build how you feel inspired by the bricks. Bricks to build with: Jungle x2, Fluro x2, Bright Bricks x2, and DUPLO. 2. Creative Bricks West Melton Community Day- Session Two. 11 am – 12.30 pm: Another time of Creativity – but with different bricks to session one!. This session will have DUPLO for the young, Friends, Space, Neon, and 30,000 General bricks. Build an epic creation based on how you feel inspired by the bricks provided. Book now on Humanitix.
3. Creative Bricks West Melton Community Day- Session Three 1 pm – 2.30 pm: A time for the serious builder. Help us build a city surrounded by a jungle. Attendees will build trees, gardens, shrubs, tree houses, for the jungle and design tall, patterned towers for the city. Together, we will create something colourful and creative. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® – 8‑Week Therapeutic Applications Workshop
Across the series, you’ll build models that help make the intangible visible—gaining fresh insights, reframing thinking patterns, and reconnecting with your values. Each session gently layers new skills, guiding you from where you are now toward a more grounded, resilient future. This experience isn’t about learning to build with LEGO®—it’s about using the bricks as a tool for clarity, connection, and growth.
Led by Rachel, a certified LSP facilitator and member of the Association of Master Trainers, the programme includes your LEGO® kit, a reflective journal, and printed resources.
Sessions run weekly for 1 – 1.5 hours and is perfect for groups of 4-10 people.
Each session is designed to help you: Understand your emotional responses, Challenge thinking patterns, Reconnect with your values, Envision a future with greater emotional flexibility
Who is this for: This course is oriented for adults (18+) who are interested in learning skills and techniques to help them cope with common mental health challenges, such as stress, grief, and anxiety. It may also be beneficial to friends and families who are supporting individuals living with anxiety.
Course outline:
- Meet the group, introduction to the LSP method, and develop group etiquette.
- Understanding contributors to your mental health
- Identifying thoughts, feelings, and behaviours…and our actions to them.
- Spotting and challenging unhelpful patterns of thinking
- Exploring and reshaping your beliefs about yourself and others
- Discovering personal values and building self-worth
- Imagining change and committing to action
- Final Session – Reimagining the future and redefining stress and anxiety.
NOTE: This is NOT a “how to build LEGO®” course for your young LEGO® fan or a LEGO® building class—it’s a guided therapeutic experience for adults seeking creative ways to support their mental health. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges or supporting someone who is, this workshop offers a safe, engaging space to grow.
