Bringing Creative Brick Pedagogy to Schools Across Aotearoa
Not in Canterbury? We’ve got you covered. Our national tours bring House of Bricks to schools across the North and South Islands. Our 2027 tour focuses on collaboration and creativity, with an option for new schools to book our introduction experience. Each visit is packed with creativity, collaboration, and curriculum-aligned learning, and is a full day of learning with up to 160 students – for the FULL DAY!
2027 Tour Dates:
South Island: Term 1, 2027. Registrations open. Register by 31 October 2026. We will spend 1 week in each of these areas:
- South Canterbury: Fairlie to Waimate
- Otago: Oamaru to Dunedin
- Southland: South of Dunedin to Invercargill
- Central Otago: Queenstown to Wanaka
- West Coast: Haast to Westport
- Nelson: Richmond to Picton
- Marlborough: Blenheim to Cheviot
North Island Tour: Term 2 2027. Registrations open. Register by 10 December 2026. We will spend time in the following areas:
- Northland: Kaitaia to North Auckland
- Waikato: Hamilton to Taupo
- Hawkes Bay Area
- Manawatu-Whanganui Region
- Wellington Region

We offer a wide range of creative, curriculum-aligned workshops for Canterbury schools. Whether you’re celebrating Matariki, launching a STEAM inquiry, or looking for a custom-designed experience, our workshops are hands-on, inclusive, and deeply engaging. From mosaic art and jungle sculpting to engineering challenges and product development, we bring over 180,000 bricks and expert facilitation to every session.

FOUNDATION BRICKS for Preschools and Kindergartens
Hands-on experiences that spark collaboration, communication, and joy.
A hands-on programme for preschools and kindergartens that transforms learning through play. Designed to align with Te Whāriki, our sessions boost confidence, encourage collaboration, and celebrate creativity in a safe, inclusive environment.
ECE Foundation Bricks immerses tamariki in a 90-minute experience that combines exploration, problem-solving, and imaginative play. With over 20,000 bricks, children engage in activities that foster communication, belonging, well-being, and more.

Professional Learning & Development Workshops for all Educators

Our Professional Development workshops equip educators with practical, creative strategies to boost engagement, collaboration, and confidence in learners. These workshops are for all teachers, educators, and learning assistants from early childhood to year 8.
House of Bricks PLD workshops are designed for educators who want to bring creativity and connection into their teaching practice. These sessions go beyond theory, offering hands-on experiences that demonstrate how bricks can transform learning across multiple domains:
- Maths & Literacy: Explore visual, tactile approaches to numeracy and storytelling.
- Collaboration & Team Building: Learn strategies to foster teamwork and problem-solving among students.
- Sensory Applications: Discover calming, inclusive activities for diverse learners.
- Games & Engagement: Add playful, purposeful activities to your classroom toolkit.
Our workshops are available as half-day or full-day sessions, either at your school or as part of our scheduled events. Each session includes practical ideas, adaptable resources, and opportunities for teachers to collaborate and reflect. We also offer team-building activities for staff, making these workshops perfect for teacher-only days or professional learning communities.
Cost: Varies depending on location, length of workshop, number of staff attending, and resource requirements. $805 to $1499 per day
